Felix Metty was born 19 October 1766 at River Aux Soble on the Northeast Coast of Detroit Leander Metty born 14 March 1798 at Detriot Solomon Timothy Metty born 7 October 1837 at Monroe, Michigan (For picture see March 17th 2008 posting) Pearl Marie Metty born 12 April 1880 at Louisville, Kansas; christened at Flush, Kansas on 19 September 1880. On 7 July 1904 she married Faldon Edward Richmond at Wamego, Kansas. Robert Harold Richmond born 20 March 1915 at Topeka, Kansas. He was united in marriage to Anne Mae Campbell on 12 October 1937 at Topeka, Kansas. Roberta Anne Richmond born 6 March 1941 at Topeka, Kansas.

Pelagia fourth child of Felix & Catherine Metty

Pelagia was born 28 Aug 1801 at Detroit, Michigan and baptized there on 1 September 1801. On 31 Jan 1826 she married Joseph Louis Yvon at St Antoine, River Raisin. He was born there 25 March 1800, the son of Joseph Yvon and Margaret Sordelier. Pelagia and Joseph's first child, a son, was born 13 October 1826. There followed a daughter, Adeline Geneveva, born 12 February 1828. Their third child was another son, Joseph, was born 5 May 1829. Their last child, Elisabeth, was born 29 September 1830. All of the children were born at St Antoine, River Raisin. Pelagia was buried at St Antoine, River Raisin, on 5 May 1831.

Richard Metty's death

The Monroe Democrat - 28 September 1882 The venerable Richard Metty died at his residence in Frenchtown on Tuesday the 26th inst., in the eighty fourth year of his age. The deceased was born at the river Rouge, Wayne County, Mich., April 16th, 1799. He has been for the past sixty years a most worthy and respected citizen of Monroe county, and his numerous friends and acquaintances, especially in the eastern portion, will be pained to learn of his death. He was for many years one of our most prominent French citizens, and his memory will long endure as that of an intelligent, honest, charitable christian gentleman of the old school. He witnessed many important changes in the state and nation as well as in this locality, and together with the other sturdy pioneers of his race did his share toward subduing the wilderness and converting it into one of the finest farming sections of the state. Richard, Felix's third son

Felix & Catherine named their third child Richard. He was born on 16 April 1799 in Detroit. Richard is listed in "First Land Owners of Michigan" pg. 30, as owner of 19 acres in Section 14, and Section 132, Raisenville Twp, township 6 South Range 7E. (Dorch Library, Monroe, MI R-M 977.432W) Also there is mention of Richard in The Michigan Territorial papers covering the period of 1820 to 1829. Richard married Victoria Bissonet, daughter of Joseph and Agnes Robert Bissonet, born 16 July 1808 River Raison, Michigan. They were married at St. Antoine on the River Raison in the vicinity of present day Monroe.
