I wish each of you a very joyous and blessed New Year. It has been a pleasure to share some of the family history with you during these past months and it is my hope that many of you will be able to find time during this coming year to share some of your family photos, stories and history with me.

Paul was born 17 May 1884 at Louisville, Kansas the fifth child of Solomon and Margaret Metty. In later life he spelled his surname as Metta.

Felix Metty was born 19 October 1766 at River Aux Soble on the Northeast Coast of Detroit Richard, son of Felix, was born on 16 April 1799 at Detroit Oliver, son of Richard, was born 19 September 1836 at St Antoine, River Raisin Dositheus Jerome Metty son of Oliver Metty was born on 19 Aug 1879 at Sandy Creek, Monroe County, Michigan. Eldred Edward Metty, son of Oliver, was born on 4 January 1915 at Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. Ellen Metty, daughter of Eldred, was born on 20 April 1957 at Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan

June Jackino, 88, of Three Rivers, passed away Monday, Aug. 4, 2008 at Three Rivers Health following a lengthy illness. June was born in Centreville on June 24, 1920, the daugther of William B. and Jennie Sarah (Latta) Metty. Mrs. Jackino has been a lifetime resident of this area and was a long time member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She and her late husband Peter Jackino loved to travel. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Pete, in 2000; one daughter, Vicki Jackino; three sisters, Cora Tedrow, Dora Pette and Grace Rangler; two brothers, Gordon and Milo Metty. She leaves to cherish her memory one niece, Donna Handy, of Nebraska; three nephews, Richard Metty of Three Rivers, Terry Metty of Texas and William Metty of Centreville, several great-nieces and nephews.
