LaMoine Belle Metty nee Preston
LaMoine Belle Metty, age 92 of South Padre Island, TX, died Tuesday Oct. 4, 2011 at the Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. She was born near East gilead, MI on Dec. 25, 1918 the daughter of the late Earl and Nellie (Stout) Preston. She attended Centreville schools and was married to Dr. Aloys C. Metty on April 21, 1939. They resided in Ann Arbor for many years before retiring to South Texas. LaMoine is survived by 12 children, Beth Metty of Munith, MI, Elaine Metty of Jackson, MI, Ron Metty of Bloomingdale, IL, Tom Metty of Hamburg, MI, Aloys Metty, Jr. of Pinckney, MI, Steve Metty and Theresa Metty both of South Padre Island, TX, Patricia Scott of Kalamazoo, MI, Peter Metty of Ulster Park, NY, John Metty of Parker, CO, Jane Metty of McDonough, GA, and Phillip Metty of Pleasant Valley, NY; 14 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Glema Hochstetler of Nottawa. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Kenneth Preston; and a son, Robert....
