Rose was born on October 9, 1874, most probably at Sandy Creek, Frenchtown Township, Monroe County, Michigan. Her parents were Oliver and Deliah Dequindre Metty. In 1917, Rose was residing at 920 Hamilton Street, St Clair Heights, Wayne County, Michigan. She died on 12 Aug 1917 of meningitis and she was buried in Mt Olive Cemetery on 14 Aug of 1917. Can anyone add to the details of her life between birth and death?

On 4 March 2008 I posted the following information concerning Richard Metty: Richard married a second time to Victoria Thibault, widow of Peter Robidau. Richard and Victoria were married on 30 Oct 1849 at Monroe. Victoria was born on 31 Aug 1814 at Detroit daughter of Gabriel and Jane Cardinal Thibault and died 22 Oct 1855 at Monroe. Her headstone in St Mary's Cem, Monroe, MI inscribed Victoire 2,d wife R Matty D Oct 22, 1855 aged 42. One child was born to this union: Julia (Judith) born sometime in 1850. Since you posed the question as to whether or not there was a third marriage I have been checking my files to determine where I might have obtained this information. Presently I am at a loss as to identify the source of my information. However, I did go on the Family Search site and found that someone else had entered the marraige of Richard Metty and Victoria Thibeaut as occurring on 3 October 1849 at Monroe, MI. Pearl was born on December 20, 1920 in Ogema Minnesota to William Morris and Luella (Comstock) Steen. She was raised in St. Joseph County, MI and attended a rural country school. Pearl married Gordon Eugene Metty on July 8, 1937 in Centerville, MI and became a homemaker, housewife and mother. She later gained employment as a seamstress in a garment factory making Dr. Denton Pajamas in Centerville, MI and also at a plastic factory. After Gordon’s death on July 3, 1969 Pearl met Harold L. Milhahn and they were married on February 14, 1970 in Centerville, MI. Pearl and Harold lived in Three Rivers, MI. Harold passed away on November 18, 1991.
