July 1st, 1913: The Topeka Daily Capital, page 6: Oliver Solomon 76 years old died at his home 2025 Van Buren St., yesterday afternoon. The funeral will be held at Assumption Church at 8 o'clock Wednesday morning. The body will be sent to Wamego for burial.

Practiced Medicine for half century in Topeka - Funeral Today
The funeral of Dr. S T Metty this morning at 8 o'clock at the Church of the Assumption will mark the passing away of another Kansas pioneer. Dr. Metty practiced medicine in Topeka for more than half a century; he died a the family home, 2025 Van Buren Street last Monday afternoon.
S. T. Metty was born in Monroe, Mich., in 1837; he came to St. Mary's, Kan. in '54, one of the early settlers in that section of the state, where his name still is remembered, though for the last fifty years he has been a citizen of Topeka. He is survived by his wife and eight children: J. F. Metty, William Metty and Mrs. Addie Greenfield of Denver, Colo; George Metty of Los Angeles, Cal; C. P. Metty of Chicago, Ill.; and Mrs. F. E. Richmond, Mrs. Julia Coleman and Miss Gertrude Metty of Topeka. Interment will be in the Wamego Cemetery at Wamego, Kan.
