Felix & Catherine Metty named their fifth child HUBERT
Hubert was born at Detroit on 29 November 1806. On 12 January 1830 he and Julia Angelica Lacelle were united in marriage at St Antoine, River Raisin. She had been born there on 15 October 1811, the daughter of Francis Lacelle and Clara Cosme.

Julia is believed to have died during the summer of 1854. The following information leads to this conclusion: Died 26 Jun 1864 at the age of 37 years, Angela Metty, buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Monroe, Michigan, wife of Herbert. This could have been the actual date of death for Julia. She would have been 57, not 37; her middle name was Angelica; and Hubert remarried in November of 1864.
In November 1864, Hubert took as his wife, Angela Johnson. On 21 June 1860, their first child, a boy, was born and named George. There followed two daughters, Elizabeth born about 1863 and Mary born about 1864. All of the children were born in Monroe, Michigan. Angela died on 26 June 1864 and was buried in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Hubert married for the third and final time on 21 November 1864 to Cleophas Mary Durocher, widow of Anthony Lacelle. She was born on 4 April 1822 at River Raisin and married Anthony Lacelle there on 25 December 1841. He died sometime between 1851 and 1864.
Hubert and Cleophas had no children. She died on 10 November 1898 Frenchtown, MI. Her death notice reads as follows: Died. Mrs. Hubert Metty. At her home in Frenchtown, November 10, occurred the death of Mrs. Hubert Metty of paralysis in her 76th year. She leaves two daugthers - Mrs. Carrie Percy and Ms. Ellen LaSalle, to mourn her death. Mrs. Metty was born in this county, spending all her life here and was one of the oldest residents.
Hubert died on 7 May 1876 in Frenchtown, Monroe, MI of a paralytic stroke. He burial services were held at St. Mary's on 9 May 1876.
